The temp is up above 105 in Sacramento today. It's time to hit the river to cool off.
Sad to say that I've live in Sacramento my entire life and have never been on a boat in the Sacramento River. Guess I just don't have boat friends. :-)
For those of you that aren't familiar with Discovery Park it is at the confluence of the Sacramento and American Rivers. 
The park is very large with lots of picnic areas on one side of the river and a large beach on the other side. This is a popular boat launch spot with a huge parking area for the boat trailers.
