Folsom Lake From 400 Feet Up

I'm often asked how high my Phantom Drone will fly.  Legally I'm are only aloud to go up to 400 feet.  According to the manual the range is about 300 meters (984 feet).  I've heard stories online of flights close to 2,000 feet.

I thought I would take the drone out to Folsom Lake and show you what things look like at 400 feet.  I stopped at 100, 200 and 300 feet on the way up just to give you a quick look.

Rancho Cordova Park

I had a little time before a listing appointment in Rancho so I took the drone out for a spin.  I have fond memories of the park from my daycare teacher days.  We used to take the kids to the swimming pool on Fridays during the summer.  It was always fun teaching the kids to swim and escaping from the daycare center for a few hours.

The place sure looks different.  Was a nice surprise to see the new community center.

My buddy Ben asked me to do an aerial video of his new listing in Loomis.  This is my first attempt at using the Phantom 2 to showcase a home.  

The property itself is beautiful but it's the inside of this home that is the real gem.  It's amazing.   Once it hits the market I'll post a link to the interior pics. 

Sellers Feeling Good

Home sellers are feeling a lot more positive about the housing market.  Most home owners think the market will continue to improve this year and the reasons they give for selling their home is much more positive than the reasons they gave last year.

 

Relay for Life - Fair Oaks 2014

This was a fantastic event.  Thank you Athena for asking me to help.  It was inspiring to be around such a supportive group of people, many of them struggling with a diagnosis of cancer but they are still so up beat and positive.  You can't help but be inspired by them.

Orangevale Pow Wow Days

Well, I made it out to Pow Wow Days in Orangevale today.  And I have to say - Impressed.  It was much larger than I thought it would be.  There was plenty to do and lot's of good food, well...as faire food goes.  The shaved ice booth was a welcome sight since it was pushing 100 degrees when I was filming.  It looks like the weather is going to cooperate for the evening concerts.   I hope you can make it out this weekend.

Was out showing a home in Elk Grove this evening.  I took the back roads because of Highway 50 construction and came across this vineyard off of Grant Line Road.  So I took a few minutes and took some video.  I was surprised how large it was when I was able to see it from above.

Folsom and the Amgen Tour of California

What a fantastic day and perfect day for a bike race.  Stage 2 of the Amgen Tour of California was in Folsom today.  The racers began on Sutter Street and crossed the Rainbow Bridge on the beginning of their 12-mile time trial.

What a beautiful place to enjoy the day with a great friend and watch the bikes race by.  

If you have never had the chance to walk across the old foot bridge in Folsom I would encourage to take a walk into the past.  This bridge is well over 115 years old.  I couldn't help but think what Folsom looked like in the late 1800's while walking across this piece of history.

Serbian Church in Fair Oaks

I have always admired the beauty of this church in Fair Oaks.  It's on Sunset between Sunrise and San Juan.   It's just a brick building but it is so beautiful.  

I thought I'd do a quick web search before I posted this blog and I was stunned at what I found.  I definitely have to take a peek inside when I get a chance.  I can't imagine the pictures on their website do it any justice.  Here is a link to the church's website.  It's quite amazing to see.  Sacramento Serbian Church

Fair Oaks Fiesta 2014

The Fiesta was a big success this year.  The weather was great and  the crowds turned out.  Saw lots of families enjoying the day playing in the kids area, sampling the food from the food trucks and local businesses and checking out the hundreds of cars lining Fair Oaks Blvd.

A perfect day to grab a cold drink and enjoy the live music.

 There was plenty of food from burgers and beer to lobster and grilled cheese.

If you like classic cars you weren't disappointed. 

The kids had plenty to keep them busy.

Fountains at Roseville

My first attempt at editing video clips together.  

One of my favorite places to relax, get a coffee and enjoy some people watching time.  As you can tell this "mall" is very family friendly.  There are lots of things to do with the kids.  Enjoy the tour.
